So, a small group of us ventured South a couple of weekends ago, to Tunbridge Wells to run the 5 (to 6) kilometer Major Muddy Race. We had decided to run this race (along with what will be many other challenges and activities) in aid of the Ethan Rees Linwood Memorial Trust, a local charity recently formed in the memory of dear Ethan, a youngster who lost his life last year in traumatic and difficult circumstances. The charities mission is to ‘raise the aspirations of children and young people, enabling them to realise their potential and have their achievements recognised’. How could we not want to do our best for such a cause?
There was much reluctance from a few who shall remain nameless, and yes, it was unfounded worry. It was WET, it was MUDDY, it was at times CHALLENGING but most of all, and given who we were running for, very relevant, as it was so MUCH FUN!!!!
We have so far been pledged over £1,600 that will soon be collected. And contributions can still be made. Please get in touch and we’ll brief you accordingly.
More fun challenges and activities are planned soon to continue raising for the charity. Get involved people 🙂
And a BIG thank you to the trust for providing us with attire to help promote our activities and to Rob @ Printing.com Saffron Walden for the banner!
